  • Hello, I thank you for your proposal. As I told you during our first exchange, I'm not a specialist and I'm always looking for tips and tricks. I recently, like the fandom advice, redid my infoboxes so that they are compatible with smartphones. Although I started to study the new code and made several tests, I do not master it yet and have not managed to generate models that I like as much as the previous ones. For the background, keeping the same graphics I am also interested in them to be cleaner and better stalled. But I think for now keep the current presentation of the home page. I know it may not be optimal, but it suits me well. I like when I go on wiki of different countries, to see their specificities. Some fandom of big licenses are completely identical whatever the country and I sometimes find this standard sad. This is of course a personal taste;) I'm not sure I understand what you mean with “« Give you a copy of the English CLAMP Wiki's wordmark ». I do not know if that's what you're talking about, but I've already put at the bottom of the page a link to the English Wiki Clamp on pages that had an equivalence (for example I linked the page Chobits fr with the page Chobits en) Finally, it is obvious that we can share our information. Sharing and collaborating on a theme we like is the very principle of this type of site. I will probably in the future seek information on the English version to complete mine, and conversely you can retake information on the French wiki that would be absent from the English version. Similarly if browsing the French wiki you discover errors do not hesitate to report it to me.

    • Bonjour!

I understand that you would like a separate style for the French wiki version; I can respect that! My proposal was more for the design of the templates and the background (For example: How the English wiki's background fits around the page vs. the French wiki's tiled image.) I can make a background for the French wiki that fits around the page.

As for the wordmark, a wiki wordmark is the "logo" of a wiki. This is what you usually see on the top-left corner (The CLAMP Wiki in a special font). I was going to give you a purple version that suits the French wiki's colors.

If you need help with formatting templates and pages, feel free to ask me! I have had around 2 years of experience with the HTML and syntax coding.

Thank you for reassuring me that our wikis work together and that both provide info freely! I just wanted to make sure ^^

      Bonjour!

  • In the past, I've made great contributions to editing Gate 7's Wiki in Clamp Wiki. I created pages for all the characters and made an effort to give great details into all of them. But as I return to check them once more, I find it gone without a trace. I would like to ask how and why everything I've contributed has just disappear?

    • Fact, you are doing less than most admins. You're deleting all the work that's been done on this wiki and is making this wiki obsolete.

I am. How about you provide the evidence, as you ask me to do (I'm now going to provide links to some words so you know the exact definition, which I urge you to read. Because they prove my point and actually disprove yours). I'm adding pages and actively REPLACING copy and pasted information which this wiki had plenty of (and I was not the one copy and pasting it, just an FYI)

I told you before that it was my intention to help this to become a global wiki for all of Clamp series. Which will make this website indispensable.

You also plan on usurping other well established wiki in the process which is what I strongly disagree with. That's another thing you failed to see. I said I wanted to give links to WELL ESTABLISHED wiki. And the only ones so far are the CCS, Chobits, and CLAMP School Detective. So I'm not making this into a "links hub" if I'm only providing links to well made wiki. 3 links to other wiki, woah! So much redirection! This wiki is useless now! (obvious sarcasm)

If you care to even take a look at the work that I've done, you'll know that unlike the other wiki that just copy and past things off of wikipedia, I actually put in the work to make the detail elaborate and distinct.

No, I don't care, because all that should be focused on is what you contributed to THIS wiki, which was only the Gate 7 page. I however, have contributed to EVERY page and made more. Therefore, you've contributed less.

So in truth, I've contributed more to this website than you ever could given what you're going to do to this website.

Hmmmm I've made literally 9.5x MORE edits than you have on this wiki and I've barely been here a month. That's a fact.
That's cause you're not contributing to this wiki.

You must be invisible, because I haven't seen you watching over my should, so I guess you're wrong on that one too! (Also, give me the evidence, since your so keen on me giving you evidence.)

All you're doing is replying to what I said without any concrete explanation as to why what I said is wrong. You keep telling me that I'm wrong but provide no evidence to say otherwise.

Umm, you too? And I have, muliple times; but I guess I need to make them more obvious for you, so here:

      • Evidence #1: I've told you rules that wiki admins use and place in regards to you wanting to move the info from other wikis onto here. Copy and pasting info from other wikis such as the CCS wiki which is 90% Copy and paste free, is a wrong thing to do, and that's what YOU want to do. Copy and paste all it's info, onto this one.
      • Evidence #2: I've provided screen shots of my edit count to prove that I've been editing this wiki way more than you.
      • Evidence #3: I've made a link to show you the difference between making a link to another wiki and making a whole navigational page on this wiki for one series (that was to show you how little a difference there is)
      • Evidence #4: I'm actively editing this wiki as you tell me I'm not, the wiki activity feed is enough evidence of that.
      • Evidence #5: A friend from another wiki has start contributing here without me even asking them to, so the idea that "people won't want to contribute here if all they are getting is links!" is still wrong; as it was in the first place. This even shows that my way is fine.
      • Evidence #6: Not all the wikis have copy and pasted material from wikipedia, making your argument null, once again.
I on the other hand, has provided you with many scenario and outcome of the wiki that you're going to create.

Sorry to burst your bubble bud, but a scenario you made up is not "evidence". That wouldn't hold up in court. What evidence have you provided for your scenario? Nothing. People arn't contributing else where, this wiki has more information on hard to find pieces therefore, making it "indispensable" as you like to say. I just proved your own scenario wrong.

All I've been talking about is the things you're going to do to this wiki.

And amazingly as I do so, I am actively contributing to this wiki. If you looked, you'd see more than 20 new pages!

Either way, let me explain my project plan again since you seem to have forgotten:

      • Delete all unnecessary info and pages.
      • Create pages for each CLAMP work.
      • Add basic info to each work. (This would be called the "bones" of an article)
      • Edit info on previously made pages so they aren't copy and pasted wikipedia info.
      • Link summary pages to well established wiki.
      • Continue writing and adding to pages until perceived as "complete".

Hey look! THAT's what I'm going to do! So if you're going to give me a made of scenario that's not going to happen, my project plan which I am ACTIVELY doing, should be suffice.

Again, don't tell me what I'm "going" to do because you're not me. You clearly don't get what I'm talking about if you think what I'm "going" to do, is going to make this wiki obsolete. You are not a psychic and cannot see the future; therefore these "scenarios" of yours are useless and baseless.

I'm done with this conversation, because all that's happening is you responding telling me how you're right and how I'm not, while I provide with literal, quantifiable proof of what I'm saying; while you point at the air for your scenario that isn't going to happen. Until you're able to give me proof of anything you're saying, I'm not responding anymore. Adieu.

Too bad they don't take out points for the stuff you delete cause you'll be on the negative. Delete things that YOU, the guy who doesn't know about all Clamp series, deemed "uncesssary." And putting link up to "well established" wiki when the info that you deleted on this wiki has about the same amount of content. Some even better content.

If you don't want to own up to the things you're doing, that's your problem. And if you don't want to talk about making this wiki better and just want to trash talk then I can do that too. Cause you obviousy don't want to make this wiki better. We've already established that. And you call yourself a good admin.

  • Do you think that Main Page of this wiki need affiliates? Most of Series by Clamp has their own wiki like Chobits, Cardcaptor Sakura, Tsubasa, xxxHolic & Clamp School Wiki?

    • There is an affiliate template but I think it's been accidentally removed. The previous affiliates were the CCS wiki, Kobato, Tsubasa and X/1999. Affiliates will be added after the majority of the restoration has been done.
